The village. Situated along the Heves even, 13 kilometres to the east of Heves, a village with 2200 residents.The nearest railway station is Tarnaszentmiklós, located on the Kál-Kisújszállás branch line. Kömlő is at a distance of 17 kilometres from both Füzesabony and from road 3. It already appears called Kumleud in a certificate in 1261. The village several times desolated and later became populous again. In 1770, Bishop Esterházy ordered the population of other villages to be transferred to Kömlő. The Bishops land-steward constructed straight streets crossing each other right angled. This structure is even characteristic for the village at the present time. The residents subsistence was provided by agriculture mainly. Its monumental church in late baroque style was built in the year 1783. The parsonage was already finished in 1777. The nearness of River Tisza as well as the given thermal well states that the villages leadersip should lay more stress on developing the village tourism.
